October was World Menopause Month. We have reached out to our local resources to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of menopause and its effects. At Queen Street Medical Centre, we are proud of our wide range of resources and our committed health professionals who are always available to help you.

What is perimenopause?

Perimenopause is the phase leading up to menopause when periods become irregular and hormone levels fluctuate.

What is menopause?

Menopause is a natural phase in a woman's life, marking the cessation of menstrual periods. It's important to remember that most women in Australia experience menopause between the ages of 45 and 55, and it's a normal part of the aging process.

Leaders in women's health, Jean Hailes, backed by the NSW Government, put together a resource kit for those needing help. One of their tools, 'What's bothering you', is a symptom checklist. Browse through the symptoms and download the checklist.
