Chronic pain management group starts 11 Feb 2019

If you suffer with chronic pain this new six week group programme aims to help you learn how to self-manage your pain and other symptoms. Starting Monday 11 February, this no-fee programme will be conducted for up to 10 patients by GP Dr Aidan Lawrence and Exercise Physiologist Hamish Gorman. You will need a referral from your usual GP for an initial consultation with Dr Lawrence.

Designed by Sydney University, this research-based programme is based on the Shared Medical Appointment model and developed under the direction of the Australasian Society for Lifestyle Medicine. Our Better Health chronic pain team has worked in association with the Centre’s co-founder and director, Associate Professor John Stevens who has provided guidance, training and funding for the programme to be conducted at no cost for our patients.

In Brief: Better Health Chronic Pain Group Programme begins 11 Feb and will run every Monday for six weeks 10am to 1pm with follow-up consultations at three and six months after the course.

The programme caters for a max 10 patients so see your usual doctor ASAP for a referral to Dr Lawrence for a bulk-billed consultation.
