COVID-19 vaccination

Make a date – it’s time to boost your COVID immunity

It is now time for another dose of COVID vaccine for most of the population.

For those of you, whose immune system is compromised either by illness or by medication we are giving a third dose of the vaccine. This third dose can be given from 2 to 6 months after the second dose of the vaccine. If you need more advice please ask your GP. Otherwise, make a booking online or by phone.

For everyone else over the age of 18, a booster dose is going to be required to counteract the waning effect of the vaccine. In practice, this booster should be given 6 months after the second dose. This will mean that those in the groups that were vaccinated first are due now. Please make a booking online or on the phone and have a booster shot.

For these third doses and booster shots, the recommended vaccine is the Pfizer Cominarty vaccine. If you had a reaction to that vaccine then Astra Zeneca and Moderna vaccines will be available. We have bookings available for clinics now and well into April next year.
