We welcome Theresa Pot as the new Nurse Practitioner specialising in palliative care at Queen Street Medical Centre. Her unwavering commitment to building a compassionate support network is a tremendous asset to our community.
In her private practice as a nurse practitioner, Theresa will offer various services. Her area of expertise is palliative care. However, she will not provide personal care services typically associated with palliative nursing. Instead, she will focus on delivering supportive healthcare for patients and their families.
Theresa's role includes case management that emphasises symptom management—primarily pain relief—emotional support, and collaboration with other healthcare providers.
Additionally, she aims to support general practitioners (GPs) in visiting patients in aged care facilities. Theresa also provides services to address semi-urgent problems for walk-in patients most mornings.
