I graduated as a Registered Nurse from Western Sydney University in 1992. Up until 2008, I worked in General, Intensive Care, and Oncology Nursing at Blacktown, Moruya, and Canberra hospitals. We moved to Moruya in 1997, and apart from two years working and travelling around Australia and NZ, I have lived here ever since. Since 2008, I have worked exclusively in supportive and palliative care, becoming a nurse practitioner in 2014.
A Nurse Practitioner is a Registered Nurse with experience, expertise, and authority to diagnose and treat people of all ages with acute or chronic illnesses.
Together with medical practitioners, nursing and allied health professionals, family, and carers, I have had the privilege of caring for many Eurobodalla residents, friends, and family at the end of their lives. I also have experience working in aged care.
After 25 years in the health service, I have transitioned to primary health care here at Queen Street Medical Centre to broaden my knowledge in primary health and health promotion and to continue working in palliative care. I am a keen bike rider, walker, camper, and once played hockey. I am very happy to be here.
