Movember, the month formerly known as November, is a moustache-growing charity event held during November each year that raises funds and awareness for men's health. This November, we salute the courage of four men,
Michael Tilbrook,
Neil Mackay,
Lachlan Shaw, and
Feng Gou, who are stepping up to change the face of men's health here in the Eurobodalla. Your visit to the
Mo-ruya Mo-vember QSMC Mospace this month and your support for this worthy cause can make a significant difference. Let's stand together and show our support.
On top of this, we will be sharing some stories on relevant conversations we have come across around men's mental health, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. As they say in Movember, 'Come along for the ride; it only makes us stronger'.
One of the significant drivers for us as a social cause is the work to be undertaken by Movember, which includes research on how online platforms, including media environments, influence young men's mental health. By building a community of practice across Australia, this partnership aims to develop evidence-based strategies to inform healthy masculinity initiatives. Each one of us plays an essential role in ending gender-based violence. Together, we can work towards a safer and more equal Australia. Let's unite and take responsibility for our community.
