Who is Bulk Billed at our practice?

    • Children 0 – 18 years
    • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients
    • Those attending our Cervical Screening Clinics
    • Those attending Better Health Programme Clinics
    • Those attending Flu and Covid-19 Vaccination Clinics
    • Veterans’ Affairs Card Holders  

Immediate Medicare Refund: You will be asked to pay the full fee on the day of your consultation however, using your Eftpos card and our Tyro payment system you will receive your Medicare refund at the time of payment via direct credit into your bank account.

New Patients:

Due to limited doctor availbility, we have had to put a temporary freeze on new patient appointments.

Your initial consultation will be booked and privately billed as a long consultation (Item 36 – $130) – please note we are a private billing practice.

If you need to cancel or move your appointment please contact us at least 24 hours prior as there is high demand for appointments. If you miss your consultation as booked a $50 fee is payable upon requesting another appointment.

• Some services such as medicals for bus/tax driving licences are not eligible for a Medicare rebate.

Minor Surgery is privately billed
Procedures include skin cancer management, removal of skin lesions, biopsies, suturing of cuts and lacerations, and the lancing of abscesses, boils and carbuncles.

Fees for these procedures vary so please discuss and confirm the fees payable for your procedure with your doctor during your initial consultation.

Your out-of-pocket expense after your Medicare rebate will be $70 depending upon the type of procedure performed.
Minor Surgery fees are payable at the final consultation following your procedure.

Exercise Stress Tests are privately billed
Exercise Stress Test Fee: $201.70
Your out-of-pocket expense after your Medicare Rebate will be $60

Iron Infusions are privately billed due to their complexity.
Iron Infusion Fee: max $186
Your out-of-pocket expenses after your Medicare Rebate for the infusion and doctor’s consultation will range between $60 to $109.05

Iron infusions are available at Moruya Hospital through the “Hospital in the Home” service with a referral from your GP. Maternity patients are able to access this service at the hospital so please ask your GP obstetrician for more information.
