Our “Better Health” programmes comprise special clinics dedicated to improving the health of patients with existing or potential chronic health problems and patients are encouraged to discuss their ongoing health management and any concerns with their doctor.
Dr Martin Riley is a GP who has managed skin cancer problems as part of a broad general practice since 1990. Over the past 10 years Dr Riley has focussed on developing more advanced skills in skin cancer management, surgical and otherwise, with qualifications including Diploma in Skin Cancer Management through the Australasian College of Skin Cancer (later to be absorbed into Skin Cancer College of Australasia SCCA) and a Certificate in Primary Care Skin Cancer Management (provided by the Australasian College of Rural and Remote Medicine in conjunction with the Australasian College of Dermatologists).
Dr Riley is accredited by SCCA. He is happy to provide general skin examinations, discuss personal risk reduction, as well as manage most skin cancers. Dr Riley consults weekly at Queen Street Medical Centre: Tuross – Monday and Moruya – Wednesday and Thursday. Please phone to make an appointment.
Important Please: Please DO NOT apply make-up on the day of your skin examination or procedure. Your skin should be thoroughly cleansed the night before and no make-up applied on the day.
Banksia Village, Broulee and the Illawarra Retirement Trust, Moruya are both visited by our general practitioners. Full access to your medical record by your GP is available at the facility and our practice nurses conduct comprehensive medical assessments as required.
Each Wednesday from 8.00am to 12.30pm, Doctors Murray, Starmer and Lavender work on a rostered programme at Banksia Lodge. Banksia Village residents are also able to book an appointment with the Banksia Lodge staff to see the doctor.
Our doctors conduct home visits for the immobile, elderly, seriously ill and palliative care patients. Your doctor will discuss the arrangements with you and or your family.
